Dan Newton (Retired)
Dan founded the company in 1975 after moving to Northern Michigan from San Jose, California. What started as a one-man operation quickly grew as his reputation spread. His early collaborations with renowned architect Jack Begrow provided opportunities to work on some of the area’s most intricate designs. After serving the area for nearly four decades, Dan retired in 2012, leaving behind a legacy of strong workmanship and trusted service.
Corbin Newton
Corbin started working full-time for the family business in 1991 and officially took over leadership in 2012 upon Dan’s retirement. With over three decades of experience, he has built or remodeled more than one hundred homes throughout the area. Today, he leads a crew of many carpenters and works directly with clients to bring their visions to life continuing the company’s legacy of quality craftsmanship.
Noah Newton
Noah grew up working for the company from a young age, gaining hands-on experience on the job sites during his summers off school. He earned his Bachelor’s in Construction Management from Northern Michigan University in 2022 and immediately joined the team full-time. Since then, he has taken the lead role on several projects, carrying forward the company’s commitment to quality into the next generation.
Our History
Our company has been family-owned and operated in Antrim County, Michigan, since 1975. Founded by Dan Newton, our business has been dedicated to crafting custom homes for five decades now. Over the 50 years, we have built or remodeled well over 100 homes, each one reflecting our commitment to quality craftsmanship and personalized service.
Dan had a remarkable ability to connect with homeowners, genuinely listening to their thoughts and wishes. He believed that a home should be more than just a structure—it should be a reflection of the people who live in it. His thoughtful approach ensured that every home he built served its owners well for years to come.
When Dan’s son, Corbin, took over the company, he carried on this tradition of care and attention to detail. To this day, we maintain strong relationships with past customers, often staying in touch over dinner or a friendly visit. For us, building a home is more than just a transaction—it’s the beginning of a lasting connection.
Noah, a third generation builder, earned his bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Northern Michigan University and has since become an integral part of the company. Today, Corbin and Noah oversee a large team of skilled carpenters. Together they interact directly with customers, ensuring that every project upholds the high standards set by Dan nearly 50 years ago.
